The following post is for informational purposes only. do not attempt to do this glitch, you will be banned!
Mod Andrew recently posted on the rs forums, in the game feedback section, saying that players who did the "easter sunday glitch" will be permanently banned. the glitch was of course found out about on easter sunday.
Do not do the glitch!
from the info that i gathered, the glitch was done as follows:
1. put 800k of rune darts inside of a beast of burden (terrorbird, tortoise, etc.)
2. log out of your members world, and go to a f2p pvp world.
3. Die about 15 times in the f2p pvp world
4. go back to your p2p pvp world
5. bank your 800k worth of rune darts
6. kill another player to get a good drop
How the glitch worked:
since the player logged into a f2p pvp world, their beast of burden with 800k worth of rune darts, wouldn't appear. the game believed that these players died 15 times while carrying that 800k, even though it was not in the world with them. since the game believed that they died 15 times while carrying 800k, their drop potential was increased to an insane level. when the player that did the glitch went to the p2p pvp world, their beast of burden re appeared, and they banked the 800k stack. now the players would simply p2p and would almost be guaranteed an amazing and valuable drop.
I did not do this glitch , but a few of my friends did. one of my friends got 3 dragon full helms and a dragonfire shield. he was really scared when he read mod andrew's post that said that anyone who did the glitch would be banned.
i dont believe that its fair that all of those thousands of people that did the glitch should be banned, because they didnt know that it was reportable.
